The Looe Food and Drink Festival 2013

For the second year running Looe will be hosting a food & drink Festival on the banks of East and West Looe River. The event is intended to promote local produce and Cornwall’s rich food heritage.

Visitors and locals alike will be introduced to diverse and unique suppliers and producers who along with caterers will all be housed in marques. A selection of Cornish: tea, coffee, wines, fresh fish, seafood, vegetarian dishes, spicy paellas, drinks, jams and chutneys will all be on hand to try and purchase.

Chef demonstrations will also be taking place over the 2 day event in separate marques. Visitors will be able to sit down and watch the talented local chefs cooking up delicious local dishes. All the ingredients used by the chefs in the demonstrations will be available to purchase and you can even take away their recipes too.

If you attend the festival be sure to leave enough time to visit Looe’s many other attractions. It’s one of Cornwall’s most historic towns so has lots to offer both locals and tourists.
