Personnel Solutions, based at Exeter, Devon, was founded in 1997 by Ex-Head Chef Matthew Sherratt after a successful career in the hospitality industry.
Matthew learned catering from the ground up, starting work as a kitchen porter after leaving full-time education then trained as a chef.
He won his City and Guilds Master Chef certificate and became a head chef, cooked for the renowned Albert Roux and achieved the coveted AA two-rosette award for a hotel in the New Forest.
Matthew realised there was a need for a specialist chef recruitment agency to match the best people to the wealth of opportunities in hospitality at all levels and became managing director of Personnel Solutions.
