Kitchenette is to host the first of its kind food orientated pop-up restaurant. The popup will take over what was previously a Citroen Garage in Islington just off Upper Street. Visitors can attend a selection of tasting sessions, demonstrations, celebrity guest lectures and eat at various small restaurants from the 11th of July until the 28th of August. They will also provide budding entrepreneurs information and guidance on how they can set up similar food business ventures.

Some of the highlights include a presentation from Yianni Papoutsis who will talk about founding MEATliqour. Martin Morales will talk about how he set up his Peruvian kitchen while Lisa Meyer will divulge the ups and downs she went through in the lead up to her own opening night for Yum Buns. Many more master classes will be taking place so be sure to check out Kitchenette’s website as the schedule is changing on a regular basis.

Possibly the highlight of the popups schedule is when Chef Wyatt Shevloff makes a guest appearance. Victors will get a chance to taste his unique American Southern Soul food in the form of a brunch.

Through the event kitchenette are looking to train, mentor and invest in London’s future food entrepreneurs in the hope that they in turn will run their future businesses in a green and ethical manner.
