Chef Andy Waters is to Open a New Restaurant

A new Birmingham restaurant in Chad Square will be the latest project of Award Winning Midlands Chef Andy Waters. The new restaurant which will be called Waters on the Square will take over a site that was formally an Italian restaurant called Pinnochio’s.

The project has been taken on in partnership with Black Country Entrepreneurs Jim and Adam Driscoll who have worked previous with Chef Waters on a pub in Belbroughton called The Queens. The Waters on the Square is expected to be a 35 cover restaurant which will serve modern yet homely British cuisine in a relaxed Bistro environment. It’s expected to open in autumn 2013.

Chef Waters was previously a Michelin starred chef at a restaurant called Edmunds and prior to that in 2001 he was head chef at The Bay Tree Restaurant which was also located in Chad Square. Chef Waters will take on the mantle of chef patron at the new restaurant while he runs the Queens Pub in Belbroughton. 32 Year old Gareth Ward who has worked with Waters for twelve and a half years will assume head chef position in Waters on the Square.
