40,000 food enthusiasts flocked to Sefton Park in Liverpool on the weekend for the launch of the Liverpool Food & Drink Festival, along with a host of celebrity chefs, displays, demonstrations and shows. The festival runs until September 15th, so there is still plenty of time to go and check out the array of food and culinary skills on display.
Highlights include the What’s Buggin’ tent which featured edible insects, including mealworms flavoured of bacon! There are pop-up resturants, plus budding chefs introducing their skills, cocktail mixing zones, and more.
The festival will also host the annual Food & Drink Awards at Liverpool College on the 17th of September.
