Petroc College Introduces Chef Of The Year Competition

Petroc are planning their first ever Chef Of The Year competition, open to all students on food-related courses, not just at the Barnstaple College. The competition will take place in April, and entries are invited by February the 22nd.

The competition and two hour finals will be held at the College’s restaurant, and will involve producing a starter and main course from local ingredients.

Industry experts will judge the finalists’ work, and the competition is run in partnership with Philip Dennis Foodservice.

It will be great to see students locally inspired to compete and be creative, and hopefully this will become an annual competition encouraging young people in cookery and bringing some of the best aspiring chefs into the limelight!
