For the second year running votes have been counted and the shortlist revealed for the highly successful Bristol Good Food Awards. The event targets Restaurants, Cafes and Delis but also offers awards for individual chefs too.
This year over 24,000 votes were received online or via postcards from the Bristolian public. You can see the full list of finalists here.
The next stage will involve a professional panel of judges including, Angela Mount, Exanthe Clay and Richard Bertinet visiting all the establishments that made the cut as mystery dinners. The establishments will be judged on the food the chefs prepare, the atmosphere and finally the overall ambience.
Categories include, Best Restaurant, Chef, newcomer, fine dining, wine lists, French, British, Asian and Sunday lunch. In total there are 30 categories so it will take some time for the panel to get around all the venues. The awards Gala evening will be at the City Centre Bristol Marriot Hotel on the 30th of June 2013.
