BBC Professional Master Chef Finalist to Open a New Restaurant

Chef, author and BBC Master-Chef celebrity Marianne Lumb is to open a new restaurant in London called Marianne. The restaurant will be located on Chepstow Road in West London and is due to open in September 2013.

Chef Lumb previously worked as a private chef for celebrities, politicians, actors and musicians all over the world which is why her new restaurant will only have 5 tables and 14 covers. Though quite common in New York and Paris Marianne will be the smallest restaurant of its kind in London. The concept of the restaurant has been designed by Godrich Interiors and is intended to make you feel like you’re eating in your own dining room. Marianne wanted her restaurant to be an intimate dining experience.

Originally from a butcher’s family in Leicestershire, Marianne went on to complete her chef training at the Michelin star restaurant at Gravetye Manor. She gained more experience in other Michelin restaurants including The River Café and Le Gavroche. She’s also the author of the incredibly successful Kitchen Knife Skills book which was published back in 2009 when she was competing in Machester Chef the Professionals.
