How to Ace your Chef Job Interview

At Personnel Solutions Chef Recruitment agency, we thought we would give you a few of our favourite hints and tips to help you prepare to ace your interview for your new chef job.

During your interview you are likely to have to demonstrate cooking. If you have been asked to cook a specific dish in advance, then you make sure you practice practice practice. There really is no excuse to get this wrong, especially if you know what you are going to be cooking.

Be as positive as possible in your interview, even if you are asked questions like why did you leave your last chef job? Try not to to talk too negatively about your experience there, this will reflect badly on you. If you did have a negative experience and there is no way of getting around it, do you best to spin it into a positive experience… talk about what you have learnt from your previous role.

Again another key to your chef job interview in the preparation is learning about the company you are applying to work for. Your interviewer is almost guaranteed to ask you why you want to work there…do your homework and so you can impress with your knowledge.

It is important that you show your best qualities and attributes at your interview, talk with passion, assure them that you will be a good team player, tell them you are keen to learn new skills and most importantly that you have desires to progress and improve.

Good luck all.
