Sous Chef - Busy Hotel and Restaurant - Sidmouth - Live-in Available - £34,000 +

Our client is currently seeking an experienced and talented chef to join a professional team as Sous Chef producing Rosette awarded food in a prominent Sidmouth hotel. As Sous Chef you will be directly responsible to the Head Chef assisting with the day to day running of the kitchen team (approximately 20 chefs) working in various areas of the kitchen overseeing and assisting junior chefs giving further training and instruction as required.

You will be have previously worked in kitchens to AA Rosette level, have an extensive repertoire of dishes and also have advanced skills and techniques in all sections. You should have a firm understanding of fresh produce, be proficient in all areas of preparation including fish and butchery. You should have an excellent eye for detail be creative and have a natural ability to be an integral part of a team leading by example giving further training to the more junior staff. The Rosette awarded fine dining restaurant can comfortably cater for 100+ covers during busy times and you will often be responsible for overseeing all departments during a busy service. The position gives a fantastic opportunity for career progression in a well respected hotel and restaurant facility and a rare opportunity to assist in the leading of an almost fully staffed kitchen team in a fully equipped kitchen.
