Junior Sous Chef ~ Busy Hotel and Restaurant ~ Exeter ~ Live-out ~ 24,000 NEG + Tips/Service
Our client is actively recruiting for a strong Chef de Partie to join their team and work as Junior Sous Chef. As Junior Sous Chef you will take responsibility for running a section and liaise closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure your section is well stocked, organised and ready to produce stunning plates of food for service.
The chefs pride there selves on using some of the finest fresh locally sourced produce available, delivered 6 days per week!. Under normal circumstances you will be required to work 5 days week consisting of 3 split shift days, 2 straight shifts days but this will probably vary. You should have a minimum of 3 years experience working at Chef de Partie level in kitchens producing a good standard of food prepared from fresh ingredients and understand most basic preparations of fresh ingredients which will include some basic meat butchery and fish filleting (further training will be given on site). As Junior Sous Chef you will have the ability to work with and further train Chef de Partie's and Commis Chef's within the kitchen team.
The City centre hotel has an excellent reputation for food and service. Customers experience a modern contemporary style from the moment they enter the hotel, the bright airy restaurant with seating for approximately 80 covers showcases a modern theatre style open plan kitchen. The restaurant is smart with a contemporary style dining room which spills out to a terrace/garden restaurant where diners can eat al Fresco (Weather permitting).
