Experienced Sous Chef ~ Busy Seasonal Pub Restaurant ~ North Devon ~ 23K NEG ~ live-in



We're looking for an experienced Chef to join this well structured team working as Sous Chef. The busy seasonal pub operation has an excellent reputation for consistently producing and serving traditional pub style dishes eg: Lasagne, Steak and Ale Pie, Curry, Chilli, Fish Pie and other pub classic dishes.



As Sous Chef you will be required to assist in all aspects of running the busy kitchen although most of the core dishes are freshly prepared on site in the main production kitchen (by the production chef). You will work closely with the Head Chef and assist in the organising (hands on) of the kitchen team of 8-10 chefs, plus kitchen Assistants/Porters.



This position for Sous Chef centres mostly towards running a well organised service on a large scale during the seasonal highs. In the summer months and busy periods you will see a sharp increase in trade which can see up to 800 covers per day, although this is peak times!



This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef to join a progressive team in a professionally run well furnished and maintained kitchen.



This position is in a North Devon Village, offers great staff accommodation in a shared house with shared facilities and is within easy reach of some of the best North Devon Surfing Coastline.



The salary is negotiable depending on experience but is offered in the region of 23000pa initially.
