- Make sure all jewellery is removed and wear a hair net (especially if you have long hair)
- Mop up and clean any spillages immediately
- Thoroughly wash your hands
- Ensure food is stored correctly to prevent bacteria growth, this will often require temperature control
- Raw food / meat should always be kept at the bottom of the fridge
- Disinfect all surfaces before use
- Ensure kitchen is clean before you leave
- Make sure waste bins are regularly emptied
- Regularly replace sponges
- Prevent cross contamination – Use separate chopping boards for poultry, fish, red meat and vegetables
