Toad In The Hole Recipe

This is an absolute classic British Dish that will not leave you disappointed. Whether you are cooking for your family and friends or preparing a meal in a restaurant, this simple yet filling meal can be prepared and cooked in just 55 minutes.

Ingredients to serve 4:

8 Pork Sausages (Flavour of your choice)

4 Eggs

300ml milk

254g plain flour

Salt and Pepper

Rosemary Sprigs

  1. Whilst you are preparing the food preheat the oven to 220 degrees
  2. Heat some oil in a baking dish for approximately 5 mins
  3. Add the sausages to the dish, make sure they do not overlap, cook for 10 minutes
  4. Create the batter by whisking 4 eggs, flour and milk until you have created a batter that is smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the batter over your sausages
  6. Season your food a small amount of salt and as much pepper as you desire
  7. Put the baking dish back in the oven and cook for 20 minutes
  8. After 20 minutes sprinkle over some rosemary and cook for a remaining 10 minutes or until the batter is completely cooked
